History Week

Years 1,2 and 4 visted the World of Glass and learnt about how the glass industry has shaped the local landscape and commuity. They saw glass blowing demonstrations and made kalidescopes and painted glass. Finally, they viewed glass artefacts from around the world.

Year 3 did a history walk around the local area. Mr Swann and Mr Albrecht found photos of the local area and recreated them in their original locations with the Year 3 pupils. It was amazing how much the area has changed.

Year 5 and Year 6 visited the Museum of Liverpool to learn about the history of our local area. They took part in a workshop reviewing Liverpool from 4,000 BC to present day.

We also explored the museum investigating WW1, the Prehistoric and Victorian eras.
